President Bola Tinubu has replaced the suspended minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu with Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry .




Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan on the directive of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, in line with Tinubu’s orders has assumed office.




It will be recalled that President Bola Tinubu after 'Edu' being accused of channeling public funds into private accounts had ordered for her suspension.




According to reports, President Tinubu had mandated Edu to cooperate fully with investigating authorities probing the alleged fraud.




According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President, Ajuri Ngelale, a panel, headed by the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, was tasked with conducting a comprehensive financial assessment of social investment programs.




The objective is that of bringing about relevant reforms in institutions and programme to eradicate institutional weaknesses thereby restoring public trust as well as ensuring the exclusive benefits of the disadvantaged households.
