Blue Print Correspondent Emerges Chairman NUJ Zaria Unit

The Nigeria Union of Journalists Zaria Unit has brought on board newly elected officers that would run its affairs.

In a keenly contested election, Bello Habi won the Chairmanship position of the Unit while Abubakar Sadiq Mohammed of Nigerian Pilot emerged as Secretary unopposed.

Others elected are Sagir Muhammad Awwal of NTA as Vice Chairman, Ibrahim Sulaiman the Assistant Secretary, Halliru Hamza of FRCN as Treasurer, Hadiza Musa as Financial Secretary  and Muazu Abubakar Albarkawa as the Auditor of the Unit.

Addressing members after the inauguration, the Kaduna State Council Chairman, Comrade Adamu Yusuf urged the members to support the elected leaders to succeed.

The Chairman who also presided over the election thanked all the members for their support towards the conduct of free, fair and peaceful elections.

He also reaffirmed the Council’s commitment in ensuring only qualified journalists are entrusted with leadership position in the  Union.

Adamu Yusuf while congratulating  the newly elected  Officials had assured them of council’s full support.

Earlier, in his acceptance speech, the elected Chairman, Mallam Bello Habib thanked members of the unit for given him the mandate.

He assured them of  ensuring a united family where everyone will be given opportunity to contribute for the greater success of the unit.
