NSIPA: Senate Screens, certifies Dr Badamasi Lawal CEO

The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has screened and certified Dr Badamasi Lawal as  the National Coordinator  and Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programme Agency, NSIPA.

The senate approved the report of its committee on Poverty Alleviation and National Social Investment Programme Agency and confirmed the request of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to approve the nomination.

The screening and confirmation was made on Thursday last week when the National Assembly resumed.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu appointed Dr Badamasi as the National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of NSIPA subject to screening and confirmation of the National Assembly.

NSIPA is an agency of the Federal Government of Nigeria that coordinates the implementation of the social Investments Programme in Nigeria.

In September NSIPA released over N24nillion to poor and vulnerable households under the Conditional Cash Transfer scheme.
