NUJ Kaduna Chairmanship Election: Asmau Unveils Campaign team

The incumbent Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Kaduna, hajiya Asma’u Yawo Halilu has flagged off and unveiled her campaign team .
The event which took place at the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Secretariat had an impressive turnout as members came out to witness the event.
According to her, seeking for second tenure is an opportunity for her to consolidate on her administration’s achievements with a view to doing better for the generality of members of the union.
Counting on her administration’s achievements which she said are feasible, unionism is about welfarism she said.
She explained that they took the welfare of members in high esteem and had tried their best in touching their lives.
If given the chance to steer the mantle of leadership, better things by the grace of God she said will come to fusion.
Human beings she added are bound to make mistakes as no one is perfect therefore seek for understanding and support.
“I have taken all the blame on behalf of my executives in whatever ways we must have erred. Remember that l am human.
All the goodwill messages given by individuals acknowledged the fact that Hajiya Asma’u Yawo Halilu’s one year’s administration recorded commendable achievements.
Pastor Buru had described Asma’u as a heroine.
“May God bless the excellent things you have done and wish you success.” He said.
Also present at the unveiling were Chairman, League of Veteran Journalists, Alhaji Yinusa Aliyu and his team, Former NUJ Chairman, Chief Andrew Fadason, former NUJ council secretary, Comrade Femi Adi, National president, persons with disability, Nigeria, Comrade Abdullahi Rilwan together with Comrade Isiaku Maji, member, Kaduna state joint association of persons with disability, and other well wishers.
Speaking at the event, the campaign manager Isa Lawal Ikara and his deputy Lilian Steven both promised not to leave any stone unturned as they build a formidable campaign team in ensuring Hajiya Asma’u Haliru’s victory in the Council’s Chairmanship election.
