Kebbi engages 761 Nurses, Midwives into civil service

Kebbi State government has absolved 761 Nurses, Midwives who are  indigenes of Kebbi State that had successfully studied and completed their programmes in the college to become certified nurses and midwives

The Provost, College of Nursing Sciences, Birnin Kebbi, Mohammed Murtala Musa has commended Gov Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu for this giant stride.

He gave the commendation while interacting with Journalists in Birnin Kebbi on the two years administration of Kauran Gwandu.

The provost recalled that the institution had graduated no fewer than 881 nurses and midwives in less than two years of the present administration, precisely, from May 2023 to date.

Murtala Musa said: “All these 761 nurses and midwives, who are indigenes of Kebbi State are now absorbed into the state civil service by the present Kauran Gwandu led administration.

He noted that accreditation for Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in the college had been conducted, saying that the result was being awaited

“This is a demonstration of interest in the development of the school, interest in the progress of the state and indeed interest in the success of the entire health sector.”

Murtala Musa used the medium to appreciate His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, for all the necessary support to the college to discharge its mandate of producing basic and middle healthcare needs of the state workforce.

He attributed the success of the college to have graduated such a huge number to the support and cooperation the college was enjoying from the present administration in the state.
