Southern Kaduna Commends Tinubu, Uba Sani Over Security Efforts

The Southern Kaduna people have commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for their sustained efforts to address insecurity and protect lives and property across the state and the country.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Secretariat on Thursday, the National President of the Southern Kaduna People, Engr. Tabara Samuel Kato, expressed appreciation for Governor Uba Sani’s visit to Kurmin Wali community in Kajuru Local Government Area, following a bandit attack on Sunday, January 18, 2026.

Engr. Kato described the visit as historic, noting that Governor Uba Sani is the first sitting governor to personally visit the community after such an incident.

During the visit, the governor reportedly directed the Commissioner for Works to immediately address the poor condition of the access road and assured residents of the provision of healthcare facilities, enhanced security presence, and other critical infrastructure.

“It is worthy of note that Gov. Uba Sani is the first Governor ever to visit the community and there and then issued directive to the Commissioner of works to prompt him on issue of the road. He profoundly declared that hospital, security presence and other infrastructural amenities shall be provided to the community with dispatch.”

The Southern Kaduna leader further applauded the consistent and coordinated security interventions initiated by both the federal and Kaduna State governments since assuming office, acknowledging that while challenges remain, the overall efforts deserve encouragement and continued support.

“The  President and Governor’s usual untiring and concerted efforts at deployment of  security mechanisms to ensure protection of lives and property since assumption of office in the last two years running, remain worthy of appreciation, encouragement and commendation. No doubts there are some unavoidable  hitches here and there, which are inherent in every human endeavour.”

He urged the governments to intensify actions aimed at securing the release of kidnapped victims and to carry out a comprehensive crackdown on banditry and kidnapping across Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.

Engr. Kato also expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for what he described as notable developmental strides nationwide, particularly highlighting the recent appointment of retired General Christopher Gwabin Musa as Minister of Defence.

He added that the growing public calls across Nigeria for General Musa to be considered as a future presidential running mate were welcomed by the Southern Kaduna people, who expressed support for the idea and offered prayers for its success.

The statement concluded with a firm declaration of loyalty and readiness by the Southern Kaduna people to continue supporting President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani in all their efforts toward peace, security, and development
