NASFAT Doka Branch Kaduna Inaugurates New Executives, Honours Ustaz Ismail Kolawole on Doctorate Achievement

The NASFAT Doka Branch in Kaduna has inaugurated a new set of executives who will steer the affairs of the branch for the next two years, in a colourful ceremony marked by prayers, commendations and celebration.

The event, held at the Doka Mosque in Kaduna, attracted members from across the zone, alongside families, friends and well-wishers who gathered to witness the swearing-in ceremony.

Delivering his address is the Zonal Chairman Alhaji Saheed Popoola Gambari, and bedside him, the lead Missioner Imam Muhammad Kabir Uthman.

Delivering his address, the Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Saheed Popoola Gambari, urged the newly inaugurated officers to remain steadfast and committed to advancing the branch to greater heights. He applauded the Doka Branch for its consistency and resilience in organising impactful and life-transforming programmes for both members and the wider community.

He further charged the executives to serve with dedication and unity, wishing them a successful tenure.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Zonal Missioner, Imam Maruf Alabi, who was represented by his Vice and Lead Missioner of Doka Branch, Imam Muhammad Kabir Uthman, offered prayers for divine wisdom, guidance and success for the new leadership.

In his remarks, the Chairman of NASFAT Doka Branch, Hon. Musbau Adepoju, appreciated the immediate past executives for their cooperation and sacrifices, expressing optimism that the newly inaugurated team would sustain the spirit of teamwork and progress.

Reflecting on the branch’s journey, Hon. Adepoju described the opportunity to serve a second tenure as a privilege granted by Almighty Allah. He acknowledged the challenges faced by the branch, particularly the fact that the congregation currently worships in a rented facility.

According to him, securing a permanent site for the branch remains a major priority in the new tenure. He revealed plans to acquire land for the construction of a befitting mosque and an Islamiyah school, praying for divine provision to actualise the vision.

He also highlighted the remarkable growth in membership and congregational strength, attributing the progress to the spiritual guidance and consistent prayers of the missionaries. He called on members to continue supporting the executives to ensure effective service delivery.

The inauguration ceremony equally turned into a moment of celebration as the branch honoured one of its missionary board members, Ustaz Ismail Kolawole, on his recent doctorate award.

Dr. Kolawole, a lecturer at Kaduna Polytechnic, was described as a vibrant and easy-going scholar who combines spiritual leadership with health advocacy.

A prominent member of KEDI Healthcare, he was recognised for his pioneering role in introducing the KEDI health initiative to Northern Nigeria. Members of the KEDI community joined NASFAT faithful in celebrating his academic and professional achievements.

The presentation was performed by the Zonal Vice Chairman of NASFAT Kaduna, Professor AbdulRasheed Yusuf, who was recently appointed Dean of the Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

The ceremony concluded with the formal presentation of the newly inaugurated officers, amid prayers and renewed commitment to strengthening the spiritual and social impact of NASFAT Doka Branch Kaduna.
