Engravers College Kinap: Agonized Parents Cry Out
… We are Left Alone
Parents of the six students of the Engravers College, Kakau Daji Kaduna who were kinapped about two weeks ago have denied the reports making the rounds that they have been released.
This was disclosed to newsmen in a press conference held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretariat on Monday, October 14, 2019.
The Spokesman of the parents, Chukwuemeka Paul Adindu has described as false the claim that the Kaduna state government is assisting in the release of the kinapped students. They are on their own, he said.
“We are letting the whole world know that we are not with the government, no one is helping us we are alone on this cause.
“We want to state clearly that the six students and staff kidnapped have not been released.”
Lamenting, he said.
“The school is a private school and not government and no government involvement in the negotiations.
“We parents of the students and staff do not know who is negotiating on behalf of the government because the kidnappers are still threatening us.
“We have been under torment for the past 11days. He added.
“We have tried our best as parents to gather what we can and give them. We did as told but till now, they have not been released.
We are worried that they are still holding our children and two teachers of the school captive.’ He cried out.
