Governor Yahaya Bello Paying Special Attention to Cultural Development

The earlier ban on some cultural activities in Igalaland Kogi State, has been lifted as Governor Yahaya Bello is paying special attention to cultural development in the state.
The Igala dancing troupe recently made a mark at the just concluded National Peace Summit  in Abuja as they thrilled the guests with their  acrobatic dance steps. 
To further enhance the group’s performance, the Governor also had purchased new set of drums and costumes for the Confluence Cultural Troupe to enable them perform in national competitions. 
Similarly, the Arts and Culture Centre has been renovated and remodeled to make it suitable for hosting of art exhibition, theatre and other cultural activities.
In a bid to promoting togetherness, the state has also introduced unity attire.
A colourful and attractive tribal wear of Igala, Ebira and Okun tribes blended into one-Kogi dress to symbolise unity in diversify.
Kogi state troupe emerged one of the top five at World Drums Festival hosted by Ogun State in April.
It’s heartwarming to note that Kogi state will soon host National Arts and Cultural Festival.
