Governor Lalong Lauds Plateau Indigenes Spirit Of Togetherness

The Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Solomon Bako Lalong has commended Plateau State Indigenes resident in Kaduna State for their spirit of oneness as that would help in promoting peaceful coexistence among the people in the state.
Governor Lalong spoke through the State’s Liaison Officer in Kaduna, Mr Joshua Atunkara, at the swearing in and inauguration ceremony of the new officers of Plateau State Communities Development Association which took place at its Kaduna state headquarters, November 17, 2019.
The Governor who congratulated the new Executive Officers of the association, said, “Today marks another indelible epoch making event in the lives of the people of Plateau State living in Kaduna. I wish therefore to extend the congratulatory message of His Excellency, the Executive Governor, Rt Hon Dr Simon Bako Lalong Esq to the outgone executive committee for the successful completion of their tenure and peaceful conduct of election that brought in the new Exco to office.
He said, “In the same vein I also congratulate the new Exco for coming on board and for accepting to pilot the affairs of our great association. I am particularly happy with your maturity and patriotism which was demonstrated during your election.
“There’s no society that tribes in rancour and the general peace you maintained here in Kaduna is no doubt a clear demonstration of working in line with one and cardinal policy of the Governor Lalong’s administration “of peace and security.
“I will not hesitate to state in clear terms that I commend the outgone Exco’s efforts of their laudable achievements and of course they couldn’t have made such achievements without your cooperation.
“Therefore, with the same cooperation, if extended to the new Exco, they will make some reasonable achievements. He said.
He therefore assured the association support, saying, “We as Government, our door is open to give you our maximum cooperation. When the need arises do not hesitate to approach us.”

In his acceptance speech, the new President, John Mangbit thanked the members for electing him and his other officers and promised to build on the achievements of the past Exco while commending for bringing all Plateau State Indigenes together.
The occasion was witnessed by all the delegates, traditional rulers and Chairmen of all the 21 local government areas in Kaduna
