Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal is now the new Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governors forum.
Governor Tambuwal emerged the PDP Governors Chairman at the 88th NEC meeting of the opposition party held at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata plaza, Abuja.
With this victory, Tambuwal therefore replaces Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson who was conspicuously absent at the NEC meeting.
Dickson’s tenure will elapse on February 3. 2020.
Tambuwal emerged unopposed as the PDP governors unanimously resolved and appointed him as their Chairman. There was no election as earlier speculated.  
Challenge from Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State eventually did not materialise.
lt will be called that the Sokoto State Governor recently had his March 9, 2019 Governorship election victory validated by the Supreme Court.
Tambuwal, 2018 PDP Presidential candidate had in his acceptance speech pledged his commitments to move the party forward.
His administration he assured is going to be an all inclusive one.
