NAHCON Constitutes Pre-Hajj Team

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has constituted a team of staff to proceed on the first official assignment to be carried out by the fourth NAHCON board.
It is a pre-Hajj team to make necessary accommodation and feeding arrangements for the 2020 Hajj.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by, Head Public Affairs NAHCON, Fatima Sanda Usara and made available to newsmen.
According to the statement, NAHCON Chairman/CEO Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, while inaugurating the team Wednesday,19th February, 2020, enjoined members of the team to dedicate their time and efforts in making the hajj operation a successful one.
Alhaji Zikrullah urged them to examine all prospects of ensuring that Hajj fare goes down this year, and hopefully goes further down next year.
Dedication he emphasized is instrumental in addressing the issue of Hajj fare reduction; a promise he made during screening of the board and one he is determined to keep.
He charged the members to carry out the assignment without compromising quality or standard of accommodation nor feeding.
They must therefore focus on
getting good houses for the pilgrims and insisting on decent meals from caterers. He said.
Acknowledging the fact that the task was not an easy one, the chairman however stressed on the need for the team to live above board by avoiding all forms of temptations, compromise and lure of surrender.
Addressing the team, Commissioner Operations, Alhaji Abdullahi Magari Hardawa assured the Chairman of all members’ commitment to meet expectations of the CEO and other Muslims) to see that Hajj fare is reduced. He also tasked members of the pre-Hajj team to make good bargains that will enable pilgrims to embark on Hajj with relative ease and get value for their money.
Among the delegations to be led by the Chairman, Alhaji Zikrullah are the three permanent Commissioners, Senior Oceanside Staff, Staff from relevant departments and Pharmacist, Zainab Ujudud Sheriff.
Pharm Sheriff will inspect likely locations to site Nigerian clinics as well as ascertain that all conditions set by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for setting up clinics by participating countries are met.
