NUJ: Wishes Governor El-rufai Speedy Recovery

Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Kaduna State Council has  joined others to wish Governor, Mallam Nasir Elrufai speedy recovery of Coronavirus so that he will continue to steer the ship of state particularly the urban renewal and other important projects in the state.
The statement issued and signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Adamu Yusuf had expressed the Council’s heart felt concern over the Governor’s present health.
“Our hearts are with the Governor and other Nigerians that are tested positive. 
Since the outbreak of the virus, the governor has exhibited high level of leadership acumen and commitment. He was up and down to ensure that the state is safe.
“We are optimistic that His Excellency will triumph at the end because he had kept faith with the people at the hour of need. 
“The Council appeals to the Acting Governor, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe to speed the distribution of food items and other palliatives to the less privileged as well as the vulnerable ones as promised to cushion the effect of stay at home.
“We also want to use this medium to appeal to the wealthy individuals, corporate bodies and philanthropists to contribute both in cash and kind to assist the less privileged.
To our Members, use sanitizer, wear face mask, maintain distances and work at home if possible.
