… Recognizes Contributions
Zainab Tanimu
Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria
As part of its Women’s Week celebration, NASFAT Kaduna has recognized and awarded some of its women for their contributions towards the success of its programmes .
According to the Women Affairs Secretary, Hajiya Kudirat Akande, the week which is being celebrated nation wide kick- started with  special prayers from the Missionary Board.
The one week activities will include visitation to orphanage home, Iftar and others.
Hajiya Kudirat urged the women to give their best in order to make the programme a success.
The recognition of some of the women she emphasized does not mean others have not done well as every other woman has contributed in one way or the other to move not only their various committees forward but the society at large.
Chairman NASFAT Kaduna Branch, Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Ajao who spoke through his Vice Chairman, Alhaji AbdulAkeem Adeniji commended the efforts of the women saying, women form the bulk of its membership and as mothers are very important in the propagation of the religion Islam.Without women he said, there will be no NASFAT.
While seeking the continious cooperation of the women, he pledged the society’s support as he wished them a happy celebration.
According to the Missionary Board headed by the Zonal Imam, Imam Marooph Muh’d Raji,
the special prayers is from NASFAT headquarters to all branches  recommended by NASFAT Chief Missionary, Alhaji Marooph Onike.
The recommended recitation of Suratul
‘KAHF’ is not just beneficial for the successful take-off of the programme but powerful supplication for every Muslim.
Explaining further, one of the Missionary board member,  Ustadh Mustapha Abdulkareem who led the prayers said Suratul ‘KAF’ is a very powerful prayer and that,
“In a narration from the Prophet Muhammad pbuh, it is stated that the one who reads Surah Al-Kahf on Fridays will find his entire week enlightened until the next Friday (al-Jaami). In addition to this, the one who recites Surah Al-Kahf and memorizes it will be safe from the Dajjal and will have his sins forgiven from one Friday to the next (al-Mundhiri).
He therefore urged every Muslim to cultivate the habit of always reading Suratul Al-KAHF on Fridays as it attracts a lot of reward.
Our beautiful sisters from Youth committee added glamour to the event with their spiritual recitations from the Glorious Quran and Zikr on the Holy Prophet Muhammed SAW.
