Sir Mike Okiro Hands That Care Foundation is one Foundation that stands out amongst many.
Its uniqueness is not only traced to the fact that the founder had always been ‘a man of the people’. 
It is founded by a one time Nigeria inspector General of Police, (IG)  Sir Mike Mbama Okiro, one who many described as a rare gem.
This man of repute, whose name is synonymous with innovations is described as one of the best lGP the Nigeria police Force has ever had.
The only IG in the history of Nigeria that have been friend of the masses. 
Okiro’s name has gone into the annals of history as the first Inspector General of Police to be appointed as the Chairman of Police Service Commission.
These long standing attributes no doubt has been displayed in many of his actions.
One of such which is the recent palliatives distributed to the vulnerable to cushion the effect of the Civic -19 pandemic.
One of his admirers and long time associate Alhaji Umar Sani Nalema  speaks on his person and activities.

From when he was an IG to date, he  has been a friend of the masses. He is the only IG that we had in Nigeria that use to come and interact with other ranks.
That is what makes him get information easily. Officers and men of the police are supposed to follow his footpart.  
He is an lbo man but friend to all. Look at what he has done. 
He called me on phone and said, Umar, l want you to buy some rice and other items and give to people in your community to show my own support through my NGO. 
I said okay. He sent something to us to buy some bags of rice (spagetti and minerals) to break their fast, which we shared to the people in our community. Malalin Gabes, under lgabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
One hundred and fifty people have benefitted from the distribution of parliative.
As for his relationship with the coordinator,  Umar said, ” l am a friend to the National Coordinator, Mike Okiro, and l am ready to support him anywhere.”
