NASFAT Kaduna Calls For Action Against Gender Based Violence
… Says, it’s not Acceptable, Alien to Faiths, Culture

Nastrul – Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) Kaduna Branch has raised concern over the increasing cases of gender based violence against women and girls child.
This it has described as cruel and alien to all faiths and culture.
According to the statement issued and signed by the Chairman, NASFAT Kaduna Branch, Engr. Muhyideen Alimi Yusuf and made available to newsmen by NASFAT Kaduna Publicity Secretary, Hajiya Latifa Yusuf,
“This cruelty is alien to all faiths and cultures in our dear country and we condemn these barbaric violence in all ramifications.”
Citing some of the barbaric and gruesome acts perpetrated, the statement added.
“NASFAT Kaduna observed with concern the ongoing escalation of gender based violence against women and girls child as manifested in the rape and gruesome murder of Barakat Bello, Vera Omozua and many others.
“There is no excuses or any justifications whatsoever that is acceptable from the perpetrators of these cruelty.
We hereby call on all religious organizations, Civil Society Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations and Citizens to join the government at all levels to stop these evils that has infested our society.
“We pray for the repose of the souls of all departed victims of these violence and condole with their families.
