FG On Sustainable Development, To Set Up  Policy Direction, Environment For  Private Sector To Strive

President Muhammadu Buhari has described it an important role of government to setup a clear and consistent policy direction that will help ginger the private sectors towards fast tracking economic development.
The president made this known Saturday in Kaduna while declaring open the 41st Kaduna international trade fair.
Buhari was represented at the event by Minister of lndustry Trade and Investment, Otunba Adebayo 
Kaduna fair he described as the famous international fair in the country while charging that participants make good use of opportunities avail them by the fair.
According to him, “it is my expectations that participant will avail themselves with the considerable opportunity and enormous  potential  for sustainable economy growth in Nigeria.
He said the theme of this years event which is, “unlocking Nigeria’s Economic potential through Regional Integration” was apt and underscore  the present Government economics policies and programme.
“This could be achieved by unlocking Nigeria and underscore the purpose of present government economics policies and programme which could be achieved by unlocking Nigeria economic potential through regional integration given our status  as by far one of the largest market in Africa 
“This could also Serves as  platform for promoting small and medium enterprise by showcasing made in Nigeria product which is an important pillar of Nigeria social economic development and regional integration at large . He said.
This year’s event is an opportunity to bring together investors ,traders and operators of Agriculture agro allied businesses from within and outside the country for the promotion of trade and commerce wealth and job creation and above all alliviation of poverty in Nigeria
The theme of the fair he said was chosen to compliment the efforts of  the present administration toward promoting opportunity for Nigerian businesses.
Explaining further, he said, 
“The Federal government in recent time launched a new policy aimed at attracting foreign  direct investment which includes ease of doing business, enabling environment, infrastructure development, improving business confidence and generally providing various  incentive to selected critical sectors of the economy
He noted that government is also putting efforts on security of life and property as well as improving transparency. 
He commended the efforts of Kaduna state government in attraction investors.
“Kaduna state today presents a wealth of investment opportunity in a manufacturing sector, ICT , hospitality ,Agriculture mining, power and housing it has been attracting investors  such as Dangote, flower mill and Orlam.
Stressing the role of private sectors participantion in development, he said.
“The tasks of transforming Nigeria to an industrial giant can not be achieved without the needed collaboration with the private sector.”
