APC Dissolves National Working Committee
… Appoints Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni Chairman, APC Extra-ordinary Committee
President Muhammadu Buhari today recommended the dissolution of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress APC.
The decision was taken at the Party’s NEC meeting.
In attendance was Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo.
Goverrnors of Nasarawa , Niger , Jigawa, Pleateau , Imo, Kogi , Yobe , Gombe , Osun , Ogun, Lagos , Kwara, Kebbi, Kano and Ekiti were present at the meeting.
Also present were, Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege; Deputy Speaker Idris Wase; House Leader, Hassan Dogowa and the Deputy Chief Whip, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Nnenna Ukeje
Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni was unanimously elected by members present as the Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC)’s caretaker committee and extraordinary national convention.
The resolution was that he would combine his job as the governor of Yobe state and that of running the ruling Party pending when the party holds it national convention.
Buni, a former Secretary of the APC was sworn-in by the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
President Buhari has also called for immediate suspension of all court cases.
