“l sincerely thank the National Association of Nigerian Students for this honour and also thank my senior colleagues for being part of the ceremony. l must confess, l am not in the knowledge of this award. I have never met any one of them before. This award l must say has taken me by surprise. Be as it may, this shows that whatever we do in life, we are being noticed by people.
“Whatever must have merited me this award, l assure you that l will continue to exhibit it.
In whatever little way, l will  continue to contribute to the survival of union and students unionism.” He added.

“You must begin to think of entreprenualship. That is the best thing to do now. Some of us have children who are graduates and we are still feeding them.
“It is not too much to learn tailoring, it is not too much to learn painting, not too much to learn carpentry. In fact, governor of Lagos state then, Babatunde Fashola as a seating governor sent his soon to learn capentry. Each time l remember it, l kept wondering. So, our youth must rise up to the challenge.” He encouraged.
