NLC Commiserates With Zauzau Emirate, KDSG Over The  Death Of Emir Of Zauzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris

The Nigeria Labour Congress Kaduna State comensurates with Zauzau Emirate, Kaduna state Government over the demise of late emir of Zauzau, Dr. Shehu Idris.

In a statement signed by the Chairperson of the Council, Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman has expressed shock over the demise of the late emir whom it described as a committed and dedicated leader.

The statement:

“Nigeria labour Congress Kaduna State on behalf of all it’s affiliates union and workers has received the death of his Royal Highness Alhaji, Dr. Shehu Idris the Emir of Zazzau and Chairman of  Kaduna State  Council of Chiefs, with shock but with total submission to the will of Allah, who died yesterday at the age of 84.

The statement added.

“We condole Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir Ahmed Elrufai, his cabinets, the entire Zazzau Emirates Council, state traditional institution, his immediate family and the people of the state.”

Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman described late Emir of Zazzau Dr. Shehu Idris as a piller who played a positive fatherly role most especially to the union and the state workers.

He described  him as a leader not a ruler, a peace maker, bridge builder, committed and dedicated leader  who served humanity for forty five years in peace with his people and governments.

The Chairperson of the Congress lamented that as the Nigeria Labour Congress mourned the loss of the longest serving traditional leaders in Kaduna State  prayed that Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him highest place in paradise.

In another development, the Nigeria Labour Congress commended Kaduna State Government for declaring Wednesday this week as  public holiday in his honour.
