This dramatic scene  however paralyzed vehicular traffic along the central area where the police headquarters is located.

Many of the SARS operatives have been indicted for not only rights violations, but other vices like extra-judicial killings, illegal detention and extortion. The protesters said.

More dramatic is the fact that the leader of the #RevolutionNow campaign, Omoyele Sowore.was among the protesters.

Similar protest took place in Lagos as protesters also stormed the police headquarters in Lagos with placards inscribed with #Endsars, ‘Nigeria police stop killing us’, and ‘say no to brutal injustice’ among others.

The protest which  entered the second day with youths gathered at Ikeja Underbridge would hold for three days.

The second day of the protest was led by Afropop Artists Runtown and Falz. They are seeking the dissolution of the SARS unit of the Nigeria Police Force over cases of extra-judicial killings harassment and extortion by its personnel.
