Kuriga kidnap: Group commends Kaduna state Government’s efforts over release of students

The group under the auspices of Arewa Online Media Publishers has commended the Government and people of Kaduna state over the safe return of the 317 kidnapped Kuriga school children.

In a statement dated 26th March, 2024 issued on behalf of the group by the Chairman, Arewa Online Media Publishers, Muhammad Lawal Maikudi,  signed by the Secretary, Zainab Tanimu, the group appreciates the efforts of the government.

“The efforts of the Government of Kaduna State, the security agencies and the general public in the rescue of the pupils/students kidnapped on March 7 is highly commendable.

“We therefore congratulate the Government and people of Kaduna State and the security agencies for rescueing the victims unharmed.

“We also condole with the Government and the entire people of Kaduna State over the unfortunate death of the  teacher who lost his life in captivity. While we pray for the repose of the soul of the deceased, we urge residents in Kaduna to remain committed to fighting for safety and end to terrorism.

The group while urging the security operatives not to relent on their owls  called on members of the public to give their maximum cooperation for them to serve better.

“The security operatives should intensify efforts to rescue all kidnapped persons safely, while members of the public intensify prayers and assist the government and security agencies with information on the movements of criminals for a timely and appropriate actions”. The statement added.
