Zonal Caretaker Members Decry Non Inclusion In Party’s Activities

The recently inaugurated All Progressive Congress (APC) Caretakers Committee members  have raised concern over the way and manner the affairs of the party is being run.

In an open letter to President Muhammadu Buhari dated January, 25th, 2021, members of the Caretaker Committee have accused the Chairman of the committee, of lack of transparency in running the affairs of the committee particularly in the area of finance.

According to the letter signed by the Secretary to the Chairman of the Committee, Lawal Ibrahim, the Caretakers members since their inauguration six months ago, have been caged as the Chairman and his boys have hijacked the mandate vested on them. This it said has grossly affected the progress of the party,

The aggrieved members therefore, are by this letter seeking President Muhammadu Buhari’s  intervention in order to save the party from extinction.

The letter reads:

My heart is bleeding as APC is dying

“It is with heavy heart full of grief and fear I am writing this open letter to

President Muhammadu Buhari, Leader of the A.P.C and all the A.P.C stakeholders.

“The selection of A.P.C National Caretaker/ Extra-Ordinary Convention

Planning Committee is not at all a mistake, because of their reputation,

wealth of experience, track record of hard work, statesmanship, and the

passion they all have for A.P.C.

“Unfortunately the mandate vested on them is fraudulently hijacked by the

chairman’s boys whom in the first instance are not qualify to spear head

the re-organization of A.P.C as a party.

“This is responsible for the tactical sidelining of the entire 12 caretaker

members within the last six months.

This has prevented them from taking control of the activities of A.P.C

Since inauguration and is continuously dragging the party into Jungle

operation.

“THE CARETAKERS MEMBERS HAVE ALL BEEN CAGED FROM

KNOWING HOW MUCH MONEY THEY MET AFTER THEIR

INAUGURATION, HOW MUCH MONEY HAS BEEN COMING INTO

THE PURSE OF THE PARTY AND WHO IS SPENDING THE MONEY

ON THEIR BEHALF.
