Kaduna: World Organization Of Ambassadors Argentina  Awards Distinguished Nigerians As Senator Shehu Sani Bags Another Global Award

World Organization Of Ambassadors Argentina (WOA) in Kaduna has awarded distinguished Nigerians with meritorious awards.

Amongst the recipients is Senator Shehu Sani.

Senator Shehu Sani,  former Senator representing Kaduna Central District, has been conferred with another global award.

 

This makes it the second global award received within one month.

 

Earlier received was the ‘Ashbab impacts award’ as the Nigerian Human Rights Defender of the year.

On Wednesday the 7th of April, 2021 the World Organization of Ambassadors, in Collaboration with Hand Up Development Organization conferred on him, ‘World Ambassador for Peace’

 

These awards were said to be given in recognition of his good work of activism. A man of the people he is, a down to heart man who calls a spade a spade and continuously has in his own small way touched on the lives of many.

 

Suffices to say that this amiable Senator, a staunch activist is leaving no stone unturned to ensuring justice for the people at all times for he always speaks to the truth.

 

Speaking at the event, the Senator bore his mind on some burning issues.

In his remark, he said Nigeria is in a state of war as people are being killed everyday. The country becoming ” a nation of perpetual mourning”.

 

The lawmaker urged the government to intensify its efforts in protecting the lives and properties of its citizens and see those kidnapped as its biological children.

The nation he said is under threat.

 

According to him, if government cannot protect the people, they should allow people to protect themselves.

Ambassador Shehu Sani while at the Halo Chamber was the Senate Committee Chairman on Local and Foreign Debts. He was also the Vice Chairman, on Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs.

 

It will interest you to know that the Former Senator, Human Rights activist turned Global Ambassador of Peace was born in October, 29th, 1967.
He became a Nigerian Senator in 2015, after defeating Senator Sani Saleh in the primaries and late Senator Muktar Aruwa in the General Elections.
Ambassador Shehu Sani remains the first and only Nigerian Senator to declare his assets publicly on the 4th of September, 2015.
His call to the Senate never stopped his flare for activism as this was glaring in his bid to charting his course even at the floor of the chamber of the 8th Assembly.
There is no gainsaying therefore, the fact that he is a force to be reckoned with.

Fielding questions from journalists shortly after the event at Arewa House Kaduna, the African representative, World Ambassador to Argentina, His Excellency, David commended Senator Shehu Sani’s doggedness in his fight for justice saying, his emergence as the winner was based on his activism. Speaking and charting the course of the poor and the down trodden in the society which enhances peacefully coexistence of its people.

 

The world he said is in dare need of peace thus the reason for them encouraging peace lovers, those  who can serve as peace engineers in their various communities.

” We understand that our world is lacking peace and so we are out to encourage peace makers so they can be proactive in their respective places of localities. He said.

“The award is meant to select peace engineers in various localities that will do what they ought to do in their various communities.

 

Earlier in his welcome address, The North West Coordinator, AMB Dr. Polycarp   Danladi Gankon, while appreciating the recipients  informed that the award demands commitments from the awardees.

 

” We all have a onerous responsibility to play a role directly for peace and unity of our dear country, Nigeria hence the awardees Global Peace Ambassadors! This award comes with a Community, Societal, National and International Responsibilities”. He stated.

 

Polycarp also appreciated the untiring efforts of the stakeholders in keeping the organization floating.

” Let me start by appreciating my International President and  Founder of the World Organization of Ambassadors, (WOA), Ambassador Prof. Bishop Martin Canete Maure, and the African Chancellor in person of Ambassador Dr. David Morondiya Aiye, Nigeria for the good confidence reposed in me and my able team to organise and make this day a huge reality.

 

The selection of the awardees he intimated was based on merit. He said.

 

Altogether,  23 people were awarded amongst which are, AMB. Sen. Shehu Sani,  HRM. AMB. Dr. Danjuma Barde, AMB. Prof. Kabiru Bala, AMB.Dr. Obadia Mafia, Prophet AMB. Dr. Isa El-Buba, ANB. Prof. Shehu Garki Ado, AMB. Prof. Mahmud  Mouktar, AMB. Maj. Rebecca Tumba Polycarp and AMB. PST. Mrs. Zugwai Anita Chukwu.
