Quran Competition: NASFAT Charges Parents To Remain Committed To Ensuring Children Seek Quranic Knowledge

The  Branch Chairman, Natrul- Lahi – l – Fatih (NASFAT) Society Kaduna, Engr. Muhyideen Alimi Yusuf has charged parents to avail their children the opportunity of having Islamic education as it will not only be a source of guide but also enrich them with the true teachings of the religion lslam.
This charge was given during the grand finale of NASFAT Kaduna Quran Recitation and Memorization competition held at NASFAT Kaduna mosque over the weekend.
Engr. Muhyideen in his speech emphasized the need for parents to adequately ensure that their children have both western and Islamic  education.
The event he said is another attestation of NASFAT’s desire to ensuring peace and unity by promoting true teachings of Islam and uphold its value.
” Winners are going to emerge today, and prices shall be presented to the overall winners and the runner ups. I wish the participants success and pray
Allah accept this as acts of Ibadah.”
Declaring open the event, the Chairman of the occasion, Director United Bank of Africa (UBA) Alhaji Isiak Yusuf Omolafa a friend of NASFAT, while urging parents to take the acquisition of Islamic education seriously said the fees paid is meagre compared to what parents pay for their children to acquire western education.
There is the  need to change the narrative for not only is Islamic education important but beneficial in sharpening the lives of our children. He stressed.
While expressing joy to be part of the occasion, Atoyibi described the Missionaries as ambassadors of the holy prophet on earth.
” No human being he said can reward your kind of job but Allah.”
Speaking, the Deputy Missionary  NASFAT Kaduna Branch, Ustadh Kabir Uthman commending the participants efforts in the Quranic competition and all that contributed to the success of the exercise urged everyone to make it a point of duty to always read the Quran as it is the surest way to experiencing peace.
” Whatever one spends in this month of Ramadan, the reward will be in multiple. Whatever you spend in the course of Allah, the reward is there for you and your generation. ”
The message is, always remain committed in whatever position you find yourself and to the service of Allah because you do not know who is watching.
Ramadan Chairman, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Amusa informed that the competition being the maiden one will Insha Allah be an annual event.
The competition was in three categories, namely under 10 years category, 11- 17 years and 18-40 years.
Altogether, 31 males and females participated in the various categories of the competition.
Participants comprising memorizers and reciters of Quran were closely monitored by external erudite Islamic scholars,  who anchored the programme to ensure true and fair judgement.
In the Under-10 year female category, Aisha Hussain emerged winner, followed by Aisha Lukman in second position.
In the male category, Muktar Mustapha and Mohammad Sani emerged first and second respectively.
Ahmad Hussain and Abdulhafiz Abdulfai came first and second in the 11- 17 years male category while  Sumayya Hussaina and Rahamatu Abdullahi won the female category.
Faiza Suleiman emerge first and Roufiat Yusuf was second in the female 18-40 years category, with Kamaludeen Alimi and Abdulwahed Abdulhafiz clinching first and second position in the male category.
Impressive is the fact that every participant aside the cash and special prizes won went home with a certificate and a copy of the holy Quran.
In addition to the Quran competition was special prayers offered for the deceased and peace for Kaduna state and the nation at large.
There was also the presentation of awards to some committed committee members of the branch.
