National Unity: NIPR Strategies Way forward, Partners NUJ On Integration, Peace and Security Submit

The Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), in a bid to enhancing national unity and peaceful co-existence amongst Nigerians, has put machineries in place to make it dream come true.
The State NIPR Chairman, Haruna Malami made this known when he led a delegation of executive members and the state consultative forum on a courtesy visit to the NIgeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretariat, Kaduna.
The Public Relations (NIPR), Kaduna State Chapter, he said is partnering with the Nigeria Union of Journalists to promote its forthcoming summit on integration, peace and security in the country.
According to him, the institution observed that there are voices calling for the disintegration of the country and in order to find solutions to these negative callings, the institution being a body of professionals who manage situations deemed it fit to chart a way forward.
“As a body that comprises professionals who manage situations we want to bring ourselves together so that we can discuss some ways to move this country forward.”
He added.  “It is considered in line with the statutory function and social responsibility of the institute to build, foster, and sustain  relationship Amongst stakeholders.
“The objective of the submit is to activate credible and robust process for national integration through national reconciliation, building of success in relationship, uniting mutual respect and love amongst Nigerians and other major objectives that will unfold itself at the event.
“In recognition of your important role in the society as the fourth estate of the realm we are here to solicit your support and partnership on the forth-coming national submit.”
The Public Relation Officer, NIPR, James Swam, giving a rundown of the event said, the state submit is holding on the 29th of September.
“It is to start from the state level where
major stakeholders will come together to discuss how we can stabilize the country.
After the state level program, we move to the Zonal level.”
The Zonal Submit will take place Octobers 6th in Kano after which there will be the convergence of all Stakeholders. He informed.
James explained that papers will be presented at the submit and a position paper reached will be presented to the president.
Responding, the Council Chairman, Comrade Adamu Yusuf congratulating the officials of the NIPR for their initiative and visit assured them of a healthy collaboration.
He said no much difference between NIPR and NUJ as both  work towards the same goal.
 “Our core duty is to educate and enlighten the general public on happenings in the country for peaceful coexistence and socio economic development of the country.
“I sincerely wish to appreciate you for finding time to be with us. NUJ and NIPR are partners in progress.”
