“It is disappointing that the State Independent Electoral Commission, KAD-SIECOM, has once again postponed the 25th September, 2021, Local Government Elections in 2 of the 4 Local Government Areas i.e Zangon Kataf and Birnin Gwari.

“It is obvious that the SIECOM is engaged in this staggered elections in connivance with the APC so as to give the ruling Party undue advantage to subdue the opposition Parties during the elections.

“As much as the PDP appreciates the efforts of security agencies in curbing insecurity across the State, using the issue of insecurity to further postpone elections in these 2 Local Governments, even when elections were successfully Conducted in 19 Local Governments Areas, without any security breach is unacceptable.

“Therefore,  it is most unfortunate that the State Independent Electoral Commission, KAD-SIECOM, has once again postponed the 25th September, 2021, Local Government Elections in 2 Local Government Areas i.e Zangon Kataf and Birnin Gwari.

“It is obvious that the SIECOM is engaged in this staggered elections in connivance with the APC so as to give the ruling Party undue advantage to subdue the opposition Parties.

“As much as the PDP appreciates the efforts of security agencies in curbing insecurity, the issue of insecurity to further postpone elections in these Local Governments, even when elections were successfully Conducted in 19 Local Governments without any security breach.

” Therefore, the Party urges the Commission to come clean in its responsibility of conducting free, fair and credible elections by giving a level playing ground to all Political Parties.

“Finally, the PDP calls on all her members and supporters to remain calm and law abiding and also come out enmasse and vote for our Candidates on Saturday, 25th September, 2021, as the elections will still be Conducted in Chikun and Kajuru Local Governments
