Squash: Kaduna State Association  Inaugurates Members

The members of the Kaduna state Squash Racket Association have reiterated commitment to reposition the sport in the state.

While taking turns to make contributions on the way forward for the association, the members who described the opportunity as call to service, thanked the Ministry of Sport Development for the confidence repose in them.

The Chairman of the Association, Sheriff Balogun while inaugurating the members charged them to work assiduously to move the game forward.

“The game of Squash Racket Association has been in existence for quite along time and also the game is a gentleman game, so today members of the association would be sworn in and expected to champion the cause of Squash in Kaduna State”.

He also charged them to ensure that the squash racket game excel in the state and in Nigeria.

“I hope that with the assistance of all the members we will position Kaduna state to be number state in squash in the country”.

“Kaduna state has a lot of dynamic young seeded players in the national teams, so in a short while, we will be hearing they will attain the highest heights in the country”.

The Chairman said the board will ensure that squash is reposition as business and an avenue to promote health generally.

He promised to rollout program that will see the sport is taking to grassroots, particularly to schools and local clubs across the state.

In a closing remarks, the Vice Chairman, Tijjani Suleiman appreciated the state government for the opportunity to serve, and promised to give in their best for the betterment of the game.

“Our inauguration today has eloquently testified to Kaduna State our love for squash and this has jinger us, sky is our limit in uplifting the standard of squash in Kaduna state”.

Tijjani Suleiman also appreciated the media for their various contributions to the development of the game in the state.

Members inaugurated include, Tijjani Suleiman-Vice Chairman, Navy Captain M H Augustine, 2nd Vice Chairman, Alhaji M K Musa, Dr S K Musa, Alhaji Abdulsalam Aminu, Mr Benjamin Ogwude and the grand patron Alhaji Musa Adamu.

Others are Kally Yashim- State Coach and Gloria Ahmadu as the secretary of the board.
