Kaduna Zone: Allah Loves Those Who Spend in His Course – NASFAT

Zainab Tanimu
Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria
Nastrul Lahil -L Fatih Society NASFAT has stressed on the importance of spending in the way of Allah.
Allah it said is pleased with those who spend in His course as abundant rewards await such persons.
This was stated during the 2023 Annual Ramadan lecture titled,  “Spending in the Way of Allah: A Precursor to Maximizing Rizq” delivered by the Chief Imam, NASFAT mosque, Utako Abuja FCT, Imam (Dr.) Sharafudeen Abdulsalam Aliagan at NASFAT village mosque, Kaduna.
Spending in the cause of Allah has many advantages. He said.
“The best about you is the life of the Holy Prophet SAW. Try and emulate his lifestyle.
Don’t hold anything you are endowed with in the course of Allah. By so doing, you will be protected from adversity.
If you are in the habit of spending for people, it is people that will be your body guide.
If you are spending in the course of Allah, Allah will be using people to protect you.
We should prepare ourselves for later by spending in the course of Allah.”
The erudite scholar still emphaszing on the benefits of spending in the course of Allah however noted that it is important we struggle and pray to Allah to make money because you cannot worship Allah perfectly this time around in this 21st millennium. You need to.have money to be able to worship Allah comfortably and conveniently. So the best thing to do is to pray for Allah to provide for us”
On the issue of maximization, he said.
“The issue of maximization is in two ways. In the same Quran, Allah SWT says, whoever gives Allah a Kobo, He is going to multiple it by 10. So, if you spend in the course of Allah, you are sure of getting 10 multiple times of what you spend in the course of Allah. And if you go further, you spend more, with good intentions, with sincerity, Allah is capable of maximizing your Rizq up to 700 times of what you are spending in His course.
Imam Aliagan urged Muslim Ummah to develop the habit of spending in the course of Allah as that is more rewarding.
He quoted verses of the holy Quran.
In Aal – Imraan (Q3:92), He says:
” Never will you ever attain righteousness until you spend (in the way of Allah) from what you hold dearest to your heart. And whatever you spend is indeed well known to Allah”.
Also in Suratu’l – Anfaal (Q8:3-4), He says:
“Those who establish prayer and donate (spending) from what we have provided for them, they are the true believers. For them are degrees of high position (elevated ranks) with their Lord, and forgiveness and noble provision.(increments)”
In an authentic Hadith, that was related by Abiy- Hurayrah (rta), Prophet Muhammed (pbuh,) said:
“No day in which servants of Allah rise/wake up, except that two angles  descend (from heaven). One of them will be saying,: ‘O Allah! Compensate more to the person who gives in charity (expand wealth for the spender!)’.
And the other one would be saying: ‘O Allah! Destroy the wealth of the one who withholds (without spending in your way!)”. Riyadu’s-Saliheen:
Again in one Hadithu’l -Qudsiy that was narrated by same Abiy-Hurayrah(rta)as recorded in Saheed Bukhariy&Muslim, the Prophet (pbuh) reported Allah to have said:
“Spend (in my ways) Oh Sons of Adam, and l will maximize your Rizq for you!”.
Imam Aliagan  called on people to change their mentality when it comes to spending in the course of Allah. ” Don’t be a miser”. He added.
Speaking, NASFAT Zonal Missioner, Kaduna, Imam Marooph Muh’d Raji said spending part of one’s wealth in the course of Allah is a directive from Allah Himself which needs to be adhered to in order to gain his pleasure.
“Allah loves us and everything we have belongs to Allah.
Allah SWT now said, give me out of what l have given you because l want to increase more for you.”
Imam Marooph expressing dissapointment over  those who withhold their wealth, refusing to spend in the course of Allah said, it is a call from Allah which needs to be reciprocated..
For Allah to bless someone and He (Allah) is demanding just a small portion from what He has given is not too much a demand for those who reflect. Such  act he said attracts a lot of rewards. Allah is bountiful and loving to his servants. He stated.
On the issue of the less privileged in the society, he called on people particularly the well – to – do to use this period to touch the lives of the less privileged in the society. Times are hard and lots of people are suffering.
“This is an important period for you to strengthen your deeds by touching the lives of the less previledged. A lot of people are crying, A lot of people are suffering to the extent that they are saying it. Initially, they don’t use to say it. If you are God-fearing person this month of Ramadan is a month you can use to touch their lives. This month is a month of sharing,”
Also speaking, Zonal Chairman, NASFAT Kaduna, Alhaji Popoola Shaheed Gambari explained that the programme is also meant to enhance unity. Unity in Islam “which is our main target. We have different Islamic societies as such we need to speak with one voice because Allah is one.
In this month, is good that one increases ones good deeds. This period, a lot of devotion is needed. One needs to be  very prayerful.  During this blessed month, whatever you have you share with others,  spend in the way of Allah.
Alhaji Popoola encouraged people to spend for the sake of Allah because it is promise made by Allah that when a servant spends for his course, He will give him/her ten folds of what is spent.
NASFAT Kaduna Branch Secretary,  Alhaji Suleiman Alebiosun on behalf of the Branch Chairman NASFAT Kaduna Branch, Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Ajao appreciated all present for making the occasion worthwhile. He called on the Muslim Ummah to make good use of the lessons learnt in the month of Ramadan to better their lives and that of the generality.
“The essence of this , lecture, “Spending in the Way of Allah: A Precursor to Maximizing Rizq” is for us to know our creator the more. For us to know the benefits embedded in the month of Ramadan. For us to know what we are gaining spending in the course of Allah. by letting people know; educating them  so that they can do more in other to attract more rewards in this month.”
