KADUNA: DOKA BRANCH INDUCTION,   NASFAT HARPS ON GOOD LEADERSHIP

Nasrul Lahi-L-Fatih Society, NASFAT has charged its leaders to lead by example as enshrined in the Holy Quran and in the practice of the Holy Prophet Muhammed SAW.
This charge was given during the induction of 21 Executive Members of the present NASFAT Doka branch Kaduna.
NASFAT National officers from headquarters, Vice President 2,  Prof. Abdulrafiu Adegbola and Desk Officer Alhaji Salman Abiola Mogboyin were on ground for the induction exercise.
Speaking, Vice President 2,  Prof. Abdulrafiu Adegbola who represented the President, NASFAT worldwide, Alhaji Niyi Yusuf during the  induction said the exercise was meant to refresh the memories of the incoming executives, share the dos and don’ts of NASFAT so as to be able to face the tasks ahead of them.
“Some of these things they may know, some they may need to refresh their memories and understand the policies and the constitution of NASFAT in order to aid them in their operations.
“In the course of the induction, we do advise that there be a retreat as a follow up to be able to throw more light on some issues because it is impossible to cover everything in details”. He said.
As a member, you must know what your constitution stands for.” He emphasized.
He challenged the executives to step up dawa’ah programmes keeping in mind NASFAT core principles of ‘HELD’.
That is, the promotion of health of members, provision of empowerment, improving the livelihood of members and those in the society through Zakkat programme.
NASFAT he informed has over 359 locations across the globe.
While commending the Zonal Chairman’s efforts, Alhaji Saheed Popoola Gambari in the pursuit of NASFAT Doka’s dream and all NASFAT executives for a job well done, he urged that more efforts be directed towards calling people to the way of Allah, in order to have a healthy and peaceful society.
The Desk Officer Alhaji Salman Abiola Mogboyin giving a run down of NASFAT’s constitution/code of conduct enjoined the incoming executive members to follow the rules and regulations to the letter as that will help in the discharge of their duties
 “As a people, it is because most of us don’t do the right thing, that is why things don’t work out for us. So, as an executive of NASFAT once you see the right thing to do, please do it.
Work together as a team. Strive for success to bring positive change. Supporting it with the verse in the Holy Quran, he said , “Allah does not change the condition of a community until people change what is in their hearts.”
A leader must possess certain qualities amongst which are, he must be knowledgeable. Stressing that, NASFAT emphasizes on the pursuit of knowledge, both Islamic and western education.
“You must know your creator ‘Allah,’ and how to worship ‘Him’
How do you serve Allah if you don’t know Allah? So you must search for knowledge.
Allah says, you must know Me before you can worship Me.
NASFAT is known for prayers. We don’t believe in anything but prayers.” He added.
 National Executive Council (NEC) member, Engr. Muhyideen Alimi Yusuf emphasized on team work, the need for a succession plan as well as grooming the youth for a better tomorrow.
“There must be a succession plan. We must groom our youth and let’s abide by the principles of cooperate governance.
Whatever we know that we can contribute meaningfully, let’s do it. And if you’re not able to contribute, follow them with prayers.”
He also appreciated the  efforts of the Zonal Chairman for his relentless efforts in seeing that NASFAT Doka group gained the recognition of a branch.
Adding his voice, NASFAT Doka Elders committee Chairman, Alhaji Isiaq Yusuf
advised that more efforts be intensified in the propagation of dawa’ah programme. He urged the new excos to consider their task as a call from Almighty Allah.
Earlier in his opening address before declaring the event open, the Zonal Chairman Alhaji  Saheed Popoola Gambari appreciated the national officers for their support in making NASFAT Doka Branch a reality.
He also commended the efforts of all the Zonal, Branches and Doka executive members in the pursuit of their dream.
NASFAT Zonal Missioner, Imam Marooph Muh’d Raji appreciating everybody on the coming on board of the new Doka branch assured readiness to ensure the growth of the missionary board to further enhance spiritual activities of various branches across the state. He promised to, together with his team work towards expansion process.
For Doka Chairman, Hon Musbau Adepoju and the Zonal Public relation officer/Chairman planning committee, Alhaji Waheed Amosa, it was a manifestation of a dream come true.
Zonal Public relation officer:
“We thank Almighty Allah for making it a successful program and l must say a great success to the Zone and the branch.”
Individuals made contributions as to  way forward to enhancing the growth of the society.
On their arrival, the national officers and executive members of NASFAT Doka paid a ‘thank you visit’ to the District Head of Doka (Akimi  Doka) Alhaji Bala Muhammed Tijani Bunun Zazzau and some individuals who have been very supportive to their course.
The Akimi appreciating the executives for finding it worthy to visit said his door is always open while assuring them of his continuous support in their propagation to the way of Allah.
Amongst those visited were, NASFAT Doka Council of Elder committee Chairman, Alhaji Isiaq Yusuf.
Also visited was a National Executive Council member, Engr. Muhyideen Alimi Yusuf.
