JAP Commends El-Rufai’s Efforts in Restoring Peace in Kaduna State

A group under the auspices of Journalists Initiative on Immunization Against Polio JAP has joined others in commending Kaduna state Government’s efforts in the gradual restoration of peace to Kaduna metropolis and its environs which were hitherto hit by the Kasuwan Magani violence.
In a statement signed by the state Coordinator JAP, Lawal Dogara made available to newsmen, it called on Kaduna residents to eschew bitterness and preach peace in order to achieve lasting peace in the state.
The statement also raised the need for parents to ensure that their children were not left out in the 2018 World Polio Day as “ it is an opportunity for the global polio eradication.
Adding that, “in its effort to rid Kaduna State of wild polio virus, Journalists Initiative on Immunization Against Polio (JAP) had intensified campaign on the need for parents – caregivers cordial relationship to allow for a successful implementation of the exercise.
Lawal had in a message to commemorate the 2018 World Polio Day in Kaduna said that the State Government and Development partners are committed to the total eradication of polio virus.
The statement explained that; “Tremendous achievements were recorded from December 2012 to date.
“Nigeria recorded only 4 reported cases of wild Polio virus in Borno State in 2016 as against 0 cases over the same period in 2015. Kaduna state in particular did not record any case of wild polio virus since November, 2012”.
“In view of the intensified efforts to ensure total eradication of Polio in Kaduna State, the State Primary Health Care Development Agency in collaboration with all the development partners are working hard to achieving the desired result”. The statement stressed.
