2025 Draft Budget: Commissioner Human services and Social Development, Hajiya Rabi Salisu Making Budget Presentation

The Kaduna State Commissioner, Ministry of Human Services and Social Development, hajiya Rabi Salisu yesterday at the State House of Assembly presented her Ministry’s budget for the 2025 fiscal year.
Out of the total draft budget estimate of N790 billon, N553 billion (70%) is for Capital Expenditure, while N237 billion (30%) is for Recurrent Expenditure.
Under identified key sectors, education sector has the highest budget allocation of N206.6 billion.
In her presentation,

“The 2025 Budget is a product of intensive and extensive consultations with stakeholders in Kaduna State. We engaged widely with the people to ensure that the budget reflects their aspirations, addresses their concerns, and lays a solid foundation for long-term development.

“The 2025 Budget proposal prioritizes critical sectors such as infrastructure, human capital development, security, and agriculture.

“Given the current economic challenges, it is imperative that we adopt a conservative but strategic approach to resource allocation.

“In the 2025 Budget, we have prioritized some key sectors. Education has been allocated the lion share of the budget, N206.6 billion (26.14%), Health N127 billion (16.07%), Infrastructure. She stated.
