ICPC Engages Stakeholders on Wayforward

Independent Corrupt Practices And Other Related Offences  Commission (ICPC) Presently Meeting With Media Practitioners From  Northwest And Northeast Zones.

The ICPC Chairman,  Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu  in his remark stressed the determination of the ICPC to fighting corruption. To make things work the way they are supposed to.

“The ICPC is poised to making sure that local government administration are able to function maximally without interference.  Removing bottle necks so that things are done the right way.”

Despite challenges, the commission he assured will do all within it reach to make things better.

He stressed on the importance of engaging key stakeholders to make it work.

Dr. Musa also emphasised on the need to engage among others the community leaders who are close to the grassroot and members of the community themselves for results.

The Speaker Dr. Umar Yakubu in his presentation titled, “Accountability and Corruption Prevention Programme for Local  Governments” spoke on the proactive action that are  already on the pipeline to prevent corruption.

All in all, there is plea that all hands be on deck for the fight to succeed.

Media should do it best being the Fourth Estate of the Realm and the voice of the people by helping to disseminate the messages. It emphasised.

It was also a fora for cross fertilization of Ideas.
