In a statement issued by his Media Aide, Jamilu Hashimu Gora (Sarkin Labarun Kanwan Katsina), the traditional ruler instructed all village and ward heads under his jurisdiction to ensure that every newborn in their communities is duly captured in the e-Birth Registration database, in line with the directive of the Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda.

Alhaji Usman Bello explained that the digital registration platform will help government generate accurate population data, which is essential for planning and implementing meaningful policies in areas such as education, healthcare, and social development.

He also stressed that the new e-Birth Certificate will now serve as the official document required for school admission and access to various government programmes, urging parents to keep the certificates safe.

The monarch further instructed community leaders to work closely with registration officers to ensure no child is left unregistered, describing the initiative as a vital step toward improved national development.

It was also recalled that in 2018, the National Population Commission, through its officer Mr. Olaniya Fathai, commended the Kanwan Katsina for his unwavering support in boosting birth registration in Ketare District.

Reaffirming his continued support, the Kanwan Katsina pledged full cooperation to ensure the successful rollout of the e-Birth Registration scheme across his district.
