Kaduna 2027: Governor Uba Sani Names Jerry Adams Running Mate, Calls for Unity Beyond Ethnic, Religious Lines

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has announced Mr. Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, CNA, as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election, describing the decision as a reflection of his administration’s enduring commitment to inclusion, justice, fairness and equitable representation.

The governor made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday, saying the choice of the Executive Chairman, Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service followed extensive consultations, careful reflection and earnest prayers.

According to him, the nomination goes beyond selecting a deputy governorship candidate, stressing that it reinforces the principles that have guided his administration since assuming office on May 29, 2023.

“Today, we take another decisive step in our collective journey towards building a more united, peaceful and inclusive Kaduna State,” the governor said.

Governor Sani noted that Kaduna’s rich diversity of faiths, ethnic groups and cultures remains one of its greatest strengths, adding that his administration is determined to build a society where every resident enjoys a genuine sense of belonging.

He urged citizens to view the announcement through the lens of unity and collective progress rather than religious, ethnic or geographical considerations.

“As we look towards 2027, I invite every son and daughter of Kaduna State to see this moment not through the narrow prism of religion, ethnicity or geography, but through the broader vision of the Kaduna we are building together,” he stated.

The governor expressed confidence that the foundation laid by his administration would continue to strengthen peace, security and development across the state.

He reiterated his commitment to sustaining policies that promote inclusiveness and prosperity, expressing optimism that future generations would inherit a Kaduna State that is more united, secure, just and economically vibrant.
