NLC Vows To Protect Secretariat

Kaduna, North – West, Nigeria
Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress Kaduna today expressed determination to repel all forces towards what they described as Encroachment on their land.
This was expressed in a peaceful protest organized at their site along Independence Road by Lafia Road.
Addressing the press, the Nigeria Labour Congress’s  (NLC) Chairman, Ayuba Magaji Suleiman informed that the said claimed
land by a former Senator, Suleiman Hunkuyi is a property of the Kaduna Labour Congress and will continue to remain so.
”All we know is that this property is the legitimate possession of the Nigeria Labour Congress.
We are not ready to give any portion of it to anybody. If you want to build, go elsewhere and do that but this very property is not for sale. It remains the possession of NLC.”
The land he said was given to NLC during governor Tanko Ayuba’s administration.
They would do all within their reach to defend what is theirs. He stressed.
”We are not going to fold our hands and see trespassers and intruders on our property.
We are saying ‘no’ to that. We would not
allow the rich and big people to take our land.
On behalf of Kaduna state workers, we are going to stay here and defend their rights and property.”
