Zulum Makes Surprise Midnight Visit To Wednesday Night’s Attack Scene
… Meets victims, settles hospital bills
Following reports of security concerns in Maiduguri on Wednesday night in Damboa road around Maiduguri NNPC depot, surprisingly, Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State showed up at the scene of the attack 12am (midnight) to commensurate with the people.
The visit was meant to restore and build public confidence, assess situation and meet victims.
A rocket propelled grenade was believed to have been launched by Boko Haram Insurgent from unknown distance and it fell on a house in Jiddari injuring the occupants.
Zulum had on receiving the news of the attack, been in touch with heads of security agencies monitoring responses from forces.
Members of a family (6) were largely affected by the grenade.
On visiting the state Specialist Hospital
Maiduguri, where those injured were admitted, Zulum directed that all their medical bills be settled.
