COVID -19: Edo SWAN Gets Palliatives

Edo state Chapter of the Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria, SWAN, has received palliatives, as a support to cushion the effects of the lockdown necessitated by the coronavirus pandemic.
The palliatives were donated to members of the chapter by a private construction company, which was facilitated by the SWAN President, Comrade Ahmed Aigbona.
While delivering the 50 bags of Rice to the leadership of SWAN in the state, the Managing Director of Peculiar Ultimate Concerns Ltd., Aibel Adeleke explained that the palliatives are part of the company’s Cooperate Social Responsibility to support the Association.
He explained further that the exercise became necessary, especially at a trying time like this.
The Chairman of the Edo SWAN, Comrade Moses Idahosa, while speaking on behalf of his members said: ” we are happy with the company for the show of love to our members.”
Idahosa also thanked the President of SWAN for facilitating the donation of the 50 bags of Rice.
While speaking, the President of SWAN, Comrade Aigbona, expressed happiness, saying that his responsibility as a leader is to ensuring that all members of the Association are taken care of, and also to cater for them at a time like this. ” We sincerely thanked the donor for the support,” the SWAN President said.
He explained further that plans are in the top gears to ensuring that the gesture get to other state Chapters.
