Kano Flood: Ganduje Condoles With 18 Doguwa Victims, Donates N3.6m To Families
Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has paid condolence visit to the families of 18 Doguwa flood victims and gave the sum of Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N200,000) to each of the victims family.
He prayed for the reposed souls of those who died as a result of the heavy downpour which resulted into flood that was not witnessed long before now.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kano State, Abba Anwar, which was made available to newsmen.
According to the statement,
“When the information of this sad tragedy reached us we were seriously shocked. May Allah Forgive the victims, who died as martyrs, being washed away by flood. May He give them the ultimate reward of Jannatul Fiddaus, ameen,” governor prayed.
They came from Doguwa town of Doguwa local government area of the state, about 200 kilometers away from Kano metropolis. The statement added.
Governor Ganduje was in the company of the House Leader, House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, party leaders and elders, some Commissioners and members of the State Executive Counci, Advisers and other top government functionaries.
Families of the victims expressed their appreciation to the governor and his entourage and prayed for successful completion of his tenure, come 2023.
