The Hon Commissioner Ministry of Human Services and Social Development Kaduna state, Hajiya Rabi Salisu Thursday, played Chief Host as the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, flagged off distribution of food items and palliatives to Northern Christians at Yar’Adua Multipurpose Hall, Murtala Square, Kaduna.
The well-attended event she described as a testament to the First Lady’s commitment to the welfare of Nigerians, particularly the vulnerable.
“Her Excellency is truly a Mother of the Nation; resourceful, caring, compassionate and dogged. She has initiated many social intervention programmes to uplift the living conditions of the poor , weak, vulnerable and underserved right from her time as First Lady of Lagos State.
In the 9th Senate, she sponsored many motions and bills aimed at empowering the less privileged. As my senior colleague in the 9th Senate, she took good care of us, her colleagues. Her generosity knows no bounds.

Governor Uba Sani is using this opportunity to urge the good people of the state to use the festive season to consolidate on the peaceful atmosphere now prevailing in the state.

“Many conflict-impacted states are interested in replicating our model. Let us continue to spread love, kindness, and compassion.

This generosity by the First Lady complements the various initiatives by our administration towards reducing poverty and improving the living conditions of our people irrespective of ethnic, political or religious affiliations.
