The move by a group under the auspices of Concerned Indigenes of Kaduna Central Senatorial District to recall Senator Shehu Sani, a Senator representing Kaduna Central at the Hallo Chambers has been described as the handiwork of sponsors.

This the Senior Special Adviser to Senator Shehu Sani on Political and Ideology, Comrade Suleiman Ahmed disclosed to newsmen at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Secretariat while reacting to the accusation that the law maker was anti Buhari. This he said was an attempt to  tarnish the good name of the senator.

Senator Shehu Sani he said is of outstanding character that by virtue of his mandate is poised at seeing that things go well at the senate and that criticizing the policy of the administration has nothing to do with being anti Buhari. Many of the executives he recalled had one time or the other including the Governor El-Rufai had criticized the administration and that his criticism is hinged on the change agenda and not an attack.

“…..the situation whereby the senator did not criticize any wrong doing or any policy, it is the same people that would say that when you were there, did you talk when such things were done in your capacity as a senator? That is why we want it on record.”

The group reportedly claiming they are working towards a recall of distinguish Senator Shehu Sani, Ahmed had described as fake. He said they are El-Rufai’s errand boys, sponsored goons, rabble rousers. El-Rufai’s foot Soldiers set to distract the senator and make noise.

El-Rufai he said has resorted to campaign of calumny accusing the senator of being anti Buhari. The 2019 polls he challenged is a better place for both El-Rufai and Senator Shehu Sani to test their popularity rather than resorting to the use of ‘recall’ through his boys which he described as an act of cowardice.

Ahmed stated further , ”For close to 3 years Governor El-rufai has been using this sorts of fake groups to fight his cause and all have failed.

“Governor Elrufai has created jobs among youths in Thuggery and fake press conferences.

.“If El-Rufai wants to challenge Shehu Sani, let him come and challenge him during election of 2019. That is where you would show your strength. Not campaign of calumny against the senator.

Meanwhile, the group in their press conference held at Continental Hotel , Kaduna had hammered on the Senator,  “Always amplifying the challenges we are facing while ignoring the many progress the Buhari-led administration is making in order to portray the government as incompetent and clueless”.

However, the Senator is said to have dismissed the threat as, ‘ a no issue’  afterall, they were sponsored group.  He queried “What were they doing to think of recall in less than a year to general elections. Where have they been since?”

Speaking earlier, in a Press Conference held at the Continental Hotel Kaduna on Monday, the spokesman of the group, Comorade Aliyu Saidu, who claimed to be the Senator’s Deputy Campaign Director in the 2015 election, had accused the senator of ‘inaction’ at the senate on matters related to his party. Rather than supporting the efforts of President Buhari and Governor El-Rufai had chosen to join forces with President Buhar’s enemies to discredit his administration.

The group said it has vowed to see that the senator is recalled back in no time as the process is already in force.

”What is surprising is that, instead of investing his legislative resources and privileges towards deepening our legislative culture and uplifting the conditions of his constituents, he becomes the foster boy of President Buhari’s enemies.

“We in Kaduna Central will understand if Senator Shehu Sani restricts his diatribe against Governor El-Rufai, considering the senator’s blind antagonism towards his state governor.

“By working against the president and identifying with the enemies of the Buhari administration, Senator Shehu Sani has not only betrayed his constituents, he has declared war on them.

“Because we the people of Kaduna Central unanimously support President Buhari in his effort to fix the economy, corruption and insecurity, we sent Senator Shehu Sani to the senate to work towards the success of the Buhari government and not to work in direct opposition to it.

“Senator Shehu Sani’s political behavior and performance so far are in direct contradiction to the yearnings and aspirations of our people, with nothing to show
for except social media posts insulting the president and cheering his enemies.

” It is regrettable that the party has failed to call Senator Shehu Sani to order for his open belligerence against the government and our great party. No individual, no
matter how highly positioned is above the party. We therefore call on the party to initiate disciplinary action against the rogue senator because allowing this madness to go unpunished will only embolden other rebels.

“We the people of Kaduna Central cannot afford to wait till 2019. We are ready to correct this anomaly through recall. We hereby inform the world that we shall be
exercising our available constitutional options by initiating a recall process against him.

“We are ready to pursue this recall process with relentless commitment. Senator Shehu Sani has nothing to fear except his own record. For three years he has conspired with the enemies of his people, his party and president while pandering to a corrupt cabal who are holding our country to ransom, and for three years the people of Kaduna Central have been suffering under his utterly incompetent and scandalous representation at the senate.

“We the people of Kaduna Central are saying enough is enough. Senator Shehu Sani’s three years in the Senate have been nothing but betrayal and a crime against our people. This recall process will proceed apace. There is no quitting, no giving up and surrendering until we restore our Kaduna central, the kind of representation it deserves.

“Given the assurances that having the incorruptible President Buhari at the center will moderate the behavior of the political class, our people took the political risk of sending Senator Shehu Sani to the senate.

“Those who know Senator Shehu Sani are not surprised by this turn of events, knowing the rogue senator as a man who made his way through deceit, blackmail and subterfuge while hiding behind a veneer of human rights activism.

“Senator Shehu Sani. This will send a strong message that the people of Kaduna Central will   never again entrust their destiny in the hands of any representative, who is willing to ignore their needs in order to appease to a political godfather elsewhere.
