Bandits Kill Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Chairman In Kaduna

Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Kaduna State chapter has confirmed the killing of the Chairman MACBAN, Lere Local Government Area of the State, Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi by suspected bandits.
This was contained in a statement signed by Chairman Kaduna State MACBAN, Alhaji Haruna Usman Tugga who said the late Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi was killed at the early hours of Friday in his home town  Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to him, the killers arrived his residence  around 12:40am and pick him up and demanded for  twenty Million Naira ransom from him which he said to them that he does not have such amount of money.
“Then they asked him to make
sure he raised the money or they will kill him. He took them from his house and went to some Butchers houses to borrow some money from them and he raised up to Two Hundred and Fifty
Thousand Naira, thereafter they took him along the Saminaka-Mariri- Zange
highway and killed him there”.
“We have really lost a leader of high respect, who has been assisting our association in promoting harmony and peaceful co-existence among our members”.
“We condole his family, the Miyetti Allah of Lere Local Government and the entire MACBAN members in Kaduna State and beyond for this great loss”.
All efforts to get reaction of the police proved abortive as the Public Relation Officer of Kaduna State command, ASP Muhammed Jalige did not respond to several phone calls.
