UNITED NATIONS WOMEN FOR NASFAT IMAMS TRAINS OVER 58 NASFAT IMAMS ON GENDER – BASED ISSUES

About 58 NASFAT Imams are currently receiving intensive training on effective methods of promoting  gender equity, protection of rights of women and girls and prevention of gender-based violence.
The training is organised by the United Nations Women for NASFAT Imams.
The training with the theme, “Preventing Gender-based Violence: The Role of Islamic Religious Leaders in Nigeria” is meant to equip the imams with knowledge on gender-based issues.
